On 23 March 2026, after just two years of existence, Astute Dispute Resolution entered the prestigious Legal 500 rankings — widely regarded as one of the leading global references for identifying top law firms — as the only “Firm to Watch” listed for Arbitration in Switzerland.

This distinction marks an important milestone for the firm, which was established in early 2024.

Unlike individual recognitions, this ranking reflects the work and trajectory of the practice as a whole. It acknowledges not only the experience of its founder Nhu-Hoang Tran Thang, but also the matters handled since the firm’s creation, the trust placed in the firm by its clients, and the collaborations developed with peers and colleagues.

Being listed as a “Firm to Watch” is particularly meaningful. It highlights emerging practices that are building momentum and gaining visibility alongside larger, more established firms. For a young and independent arbitration practice, this recognition carries special significance.

Over the past two years, Astute Dispute Resolution has been involved in a wide range of international arbitration matters across industries and jurisdictions, acting as counsel, arbitrator, or in support of arbitral tribunals.

The firm offers clients the rare combination of long-standing arbitration experience at the highest standards and the responsiveness of a lean, independent structure. Its practice is rooted in serving clients’ business objectives, whether that means securing a favourable award or resolving disputes early, discreetly, and cost-effectively. Settlement opportunities are assessed at every stage, and advocacy is tailored accordingly.

Astute Dispute Resolution’s recognition as a Legal 500 Firm to Watch also reflects a broader evolution in the arbitration landscape. Independent and boutique practices are increasingly able to position themselves on complex matters, offering agility, direct partner involvement, and a highly tailored approach to client needs.

Astute Dispute Resolution is grateful to its clients for their trust, and to peers and colleagues for their continued support and collaboration.

This first ranking is both an encouragement and a responsibility. It reinforces the firm’s commitment to continue developing its practice and contributing to the international arbitration community.
